Rajnandgaon

I am continuing my blog autobiography with my days at Rajnandgaon. One of my unknown friend Mr Vivek Soni yesterday had shown his curiosity of how was Rajnandgaon in late sixties and seventies.
Rajnandgaon was a Tahashil Place of District Durg of then M.P. A population between 75 k to100 k at that time. The biggest advantage of Rajnandgaon which perhaps not been utilize by any industrialist so far in its location on Highway no 6 and one of the oldest Railway Track of the country between Bombay to Hawra. I hope now in Chattisgarh with its rich National sources some body will think about it.
Then Rajnandgaon was one three parallel roads connecting the National Highway to cinema line, Kamthi line, Gudhakhu line Jaistambh chowk Rajnandgaon was famous for some body continuously sending his request for film songs to radio celorce along with zumri talia. The cinema halls that time were Ram,Krishna and Komal. The balcony used to cost Rs 3.20 dress circle Rs 2.50 The first class Rs 1.60 the second class Rs 0.60 we were regular visitor t dress circle or First class very rarely to the Balcony
There is absolutely no doubt that Chattisgaree’s are very hard working people articularly the women folks. You can find people as far as at Delhi working hard for their livelihood. I will continue in next blog.
